How the Creative Process Works At WenZhou Stamping
To create a stamped piece of aluminum, the first item you need is its design. Design: A design is the drawing or plan sketched to have a form of an end product. From Design to Finished Piece
Bill: The design is complete and everyone approves of it, so now we have to come up with the stamped piece using Stamping material. The metal die is the first step in this part of the process. A die, think cookie cutter but in metal instead of plastic. The die cuts the metal into shape, but why do this when a cookie cutter (metal if you want that comparison) shapes fun dough? In the case of this die, we start by making a 3D design on a computer, which is then used to cut out metal with a laser. This makes the die very accurate and consistent at cutting shapes.
The Stamping Process
We than load the metal die into a device, known as stamping press machine and Stamping molds. This machine is very strong that it applies much more pressure on the metal in order for it to push through the die. When the metal is forced through, it shears to shape. Blanking is reference to the process of this step, and it carries a significant weight in stamping. The bit of metal cut free in blanking is a blank.
Then they are transferred to another part of the machine where a design is stamped onto each blank. In a stamp, the metal is pressed into the proper shape. This process is where the magic of stamping really takes place. It just ensures that the design from the drawing comes to now sit on back of this metal piece. I mean, thats why they call it stamping — because the design is stamped into the metal.
After the stamping process has occurred, a metal piece needs to be further processed by applying a finish. Finishing can be polishing, cleaning the product or adding color to it. It makes the metal to get shinny and smooth polish where as it helps in cleaning also by removing any of dust or mark from that stamp. It paints the piece far more beautiful These are all necessary steps to ensure the final product is beautiful and ready for consumption.
